The purpose of this project is to provide tools to automatically remove old files from trash directories on Unix-like systems.
trashcleaner is python script that provide all the core functionalities to clean trash directories. trashcleaner is able to manage several trash directories: for each one is possible to specify the maximum size allowed for trashed files. When this size is exceeded, trashcleaner removes enough files to reach maximum files.
The basic idea is to start trashcleaner, either by hand or automatically.
gtrashcleaner is a dock applet that is shown in the “Notification Area” and providing a user friendly interface to trashcleaner functionalities.
gtrashcleaner periodically checks trash directories and also provides a configuration window and a log viewer.

Please consider that trashcleaner main functionality is to delete files.
